SAFA is a creative collective based out of Ann Arbor, MI. Founded in 2018, SAFA has been terrorizing open mics and releasing multi-media projects with a rotating cast of collaborators throughout the American Midwest. Our collective originated as an organization to support our core members’ main musical projects. Over time, the addition of more and more side projects to our support roster eventually morphed SAFA into something closer to a record label than a compendium to our main groups. As a brand, our focus has shifted more towards simply being a name to associate with off-kilter electronics and DIY rock music. We’ll still release some limited production tapes or CDs when we feel like a project calls for it, but you can count on us for regular one-off audio/visual presentations online and in your area.
